Who is Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo?

Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo is an ambassador for Utah State Fair and Utah's Own PRCA Rodeo and the agricultural lifestyle it promotes. She is expected to act, speak, and dress according to the prestige the title deserves during her reign. She must make appearances during the 11-day Utah State Fair and at other orchestrated appearances throughout the year (i.e., media events, parades, fundraisers, autograph signings, community events, meet-and-greets, and rodeos). She must communicate effectively with various groups of people, including children, adults, Fair and rodeo enthusiasts, and fair and rodeo detractors. She should be able to handle herself with dignity and class and be prepared for any situation.
Her ability to competently represent the sport of professional rodeo will provide further credibility to the sport in which many men and women make their living.
She must understand the sport of rodeo, portraying excellence in sportsmanship, high moral and ethical character, and reflecting careful and humane treatment of animals.
The Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo Queen symbolizes the young women of Utah who wish to further promote the sport of rodeo and, in so doing, promote the Western way of life.
