Special Needs Groups

The 2025 Application Form will be available by March 31.

• Special Friends of the Fair program is for legally registered organizations that serve persons with physical or mental disabilities/limitations.
• No individual special needs admission is available.

• Special needs groups are welcome ANY DAY of the fair but will need an admission voucher to receive the discounted rate.
• Group Admission Vouchers can be used only on the day indicated on the form.
• SPECIAL FRIENDS OF THE FAIR DAY will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 9am-2pm. This morning features special programming and free rides specifically for our special friends.

Special needs group requests must be made in advance by the deadline Friday, August 15. No groups will be allowed to make a request for the discounted admission at the gate.

• Requests can be completed in two ways:
  • Complete the Online Request Form (preferred) or
  • Typed or legibly written on official letterhead

• Requests will require the following information:
  • The Organization’s Name, Website, Address, and Phone Number.
  • A short description of the organization's service or program.
  • What day(s) your group plans to attend the Fair. (the 2025 Utah State Fair runs September 4-14)
  • The number of tickets needed per day of attendance – including chaperones.
  • If you require more than one visit, only one voucher, per day of the Fair, per group will be issued.
• Requests must be mailed to 155 North 1000 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116
• Requests must be completed online, received by hand delivery, or postmarked, on or before Friday, August 15, 2025. Due to the demands of the Fair on our staff, no late requests will be accepted.

• If your request is accepted, a Special Needs Voucher will be mailed to you (or per your request, left in Will Call at the Fair Administration Building– 155 North 1000 West, Salt Lake City.
• Admission must be paid on the day of visit at any Utah State Fair ticket booth. The preauthorized Special Needs Voucher must be presented to purchase the $1.00 admission.
• Admission must be paid with cash, one check, one money order or one credit card. No purchase orders or billing is available.
• Organization must arrange to arrive as one group. No individual tickets are issued.
• Parking cost is the responsibility of the organization. Special needs admission does not include additional ticketed entertainment such as concerts.
